In Berlin, new ideas for the mobility of the future are emerging day after day. As well as being the German capital, Berlin is already the European capital for sharing services. This laboratory under real-life conditions is where we developed the Berlin Connect app with our partner S-Bahn Berlin and operated it for the public as a pilot project from spring 2020 to the end of 2021. This involved combining the timetable information for Berlin and Brandenburg with the offers of sharing service providers in an innovative, multimodal app. The key features: multimodal routing, ticket shop and push notifications for engineering works, disruptions and delays. We have incorporated all the experience we gained through this pilot project and the newly developed technology into our MaaS platform to make future apps even better. The project was concluded as planned at the end of 2021 and the app has been discontinued.

“While developing the Berlin Connect app, we gained valuable new insights for future projects. The feedback from our customers was particularly important for us. Mobimeo’s user-centred product development helped us to make our digital offering even more attractive for our users in the future.”
